Policy Analysis Intern (2021)

Lily Pando is an autistic and queer activist, advocate, organizer, and student. She is currently a politics student at The Eugene Lang New School for the Liberal Arts in New York City. She started her work in activism at the age of 13, shortly after coming out as transgender. She was a marketing and communications intern at Legacy Community Health and became a youth leader at the Montrose Center’s Hatch Youth program, a support and social group for queer youth all over her hometown of Houston, Texas.

She went onto serve as the youngest member of Mayor Sylvester Turner’s LGBTQ Advisory Board at only 16 alongside many incredible activists and mentors. She did Trans 101 presentations for GSAs all over Houston and was a frequent speaker at queer events. Now she spends more of her time behind the scenes studying policy and political theory and helping others whenever she can.
