AWN Goes to Washington!

Friday April 2nd is designated as World Autism Awareness Day for 2010.  The autism community will be celebrating this day by participating in various events around the world.  This year, the Autism Women’s Network will be adding to their list of celebratory activities, a trip to our nation’s capitol.

 

Sharon daVanport, Executive Director of AWN accepted an invitation to attend a meeting and briefing at the White House on April 2 to discuss the Administration’s efforts related to individuals on the autism spectrum.  Sharon is scheduled to be in attendance for the autism meeting as well as additional events in the Washington DC area for World Autism Awareness Day.  Accompanying Sharon on this trip will be AWN’s Nebraska Director & Executive Assistant Dawnita Mohler.  Congratulations AWN!
